Orders placed on working days before 12:00PM will be shipped the same day and will usually be received the next day*. Because we work with fresh products, it can occasionally happen that a coffee is sold out. We mention that on the website. Delivery to Belgium usually costs an extra day.
Orders up to a total weight of 600 grams are usually sent in a letterbox package. You don't have to stay home for that. With 250g packaging, the wrapper is replaced by a label. This way the package will not be too thick for your letterbox.
The delivery update that we send you mentions the carrier and the track & trace number. You can find the expected delivery date and time there. In principle, letterbox packages fit through the letterbox.
For the Netherlands and Belgium, your order will be sent with PostNL.
As long as your order has not yet been sent, you can still change it. Contact us by phone or email and we will adjust your order.
Orders and gift package
Orders received on working days before 3:00 PM will be shipped the same day if in stock. If you opt for local delivery (available in the Amsterdam and 't Gooi area) you can place the order until 21:00 on the day before delivery. We deliver every Tuesday and Friday. You will receive confirmation of the local delivery after ordering and an indication of the delivery time with a window of 1.5 hours the evening before delivery.
Choose a gift package, Sinterklaas package or Christmas package. Then we add a 'handwritten' card (with Christmas package in a Christmas card) with your text in a nice envelope. You can send the text in the comments field in the shopping cart just above or to the left of the red "order" button. There you can also specify the desired delivery date. You can also email the text and delivery date to hello@localroast.nl, stating the order number.
Yes, if you want to send a gift package to someone - for example for a birthday - you can give us the desired delivery date (Mon - Sat). Please indicate this in the comments field in the shopping cart above or next to the red 'order' button, or send us an email (hello@localroast.nl) stating your order number. Please note: there are no deliveries on Sundays. In 99% of the cases, the package will also be delivered on the desired date, but because we depend on DHL / PostNL, we cannot give a guarantee.

Yes, Localroast also supplies companies with up to 500 employees. If you are going to purchase more than 3 kg of coffee per week, different prices apply. We also put together special tailor-made coffee packages and Christmas packages to send to customers or employees. See the business page for more info.
We do our very best to deliver all products to the highest possible quality standards. If you want to return a product, you can do so within 14 days of receipt in unused and original condition. Coffee and other fresh products can only be returned in an unopened condition. Call us or send us an email and we will start the return process for you. When you have returned a product, after receipt and inspection, we will transfer the entire purchase amount including shipping costs to you within 7 days if no details have been found.

The coffees for Localroast are often freshly roasted twice a week. The exact roasting date is written on the packaging label. Let the coffee rest (degas) for the first few days after the roast date before using it. The coffee is best for the first two months and can be kept for up to a year after the roast date.
No. The beans still have to 'degas' during the first 48 hours after roasting, which is why there is a valve on the packaging. Let the beans rest for another 5-7 days after the roasting date for optimal taste experience. Otherwise, the coffee may taste a bit bitter and not all taste notes will come into their own.
From the roasting date, the coffee is of high quality for three months. After that, the quality slowly decreases slightly. We advise not to store the coffee for longer than a year. The quality also deteriorates when the bag is opened and oxygen is added. Do you last longer with beans? Then we advise you to buy several smaller packages (500g or 250g) instead of kilogram bags. Do you order ground coffee? It has a much shorter shelf life. Preferably use ground coffee within 10 days after it has been ground.
Yes, that's possible. Then choose the option Ground instead of Beans when ordering. By default, we grind with the option Ground for filter grinding. If you have an espresso machine, we grind the coffee much finer. In that case, indicate in the comments field at checkout that the grind is for an espresso machine.

If you buy 4 x 250g or 2 x 500g, you will be slightly more expensive than if you buy a kilogram. This has to do with the fact that we have more costs for four bags of 250g (packaging, labels, handling) than for 1 bag of 1000g. is filled.
